Fixing Common Mobile Issues

Doclio works in mobile browsers, but some devices may encounter issues. Here are solutions for the most common problems.

Drawings Won't Load

  • Check your connection — PDF drawings are large files. Ensure you're on a stable Wi-Fi or 4G/5G connection.
  • Clear browser cache — Go to your browser settings and clear cached data for doclio.app.
  • Try a different browser — If Safari isn't working, try Chrome (or vice versa).

Camera/Photo Upload Not Working

  • Grant camera permissions — Your browser needs permission to access the camera. Check Settings → Safari/Chrome → Camera → Allow.
  • File too large — Doclio accepts images up to 25 MB. If your photo is larger, try reducing the quality in your camera settings.
  • Wrong file picker — On Android, make sure you're selecting from Camera or Files, not a cloud provider that might time out.

App Feels Slow or Laggy

  • Close other tabs — Mobile browsers have limited memory. Close unnecessary tabs.
  • Update your browser — Ensure you're running the latest version of Safari or Chrome.
  • Restart the browser — Force-close and reopen the browser app.

Touch Targets Too Small

If buttons or annotation pins are hard to tap:

  • Use pinch to zoom on the drawing to make pins larger
  • Rotate to landscape mode for more screen space

Notifications Not Arriving

  • Check that email notifications are enabled in Settings → Notifications
  • Check your spam/junk folder for emails from Doclio
  • Ensure your email address is correct in Settings → Profile
